Amity Christian Church
Amity Christian Church is a small town church in the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley, just a few miles from the larger town of McMinnville and the city of Salem. ACC has a special history, established in 1846, ACC is the first congregation associated with the Restoration Movement established in the state. ACC has a solid record of local and global missions, and is noted as a charter sponsor of Missions of Hope International/CMF. Like any small town church, ACC is the hub of the community, hosting community groups, meetings, and events. ACC has a close relationship with the school district and the students, teachers, and staff. We have six ministry teams: outreach, youth, adult discipleship, missions, children, and worship.

Job Summary
The Children’s Director/Pastoral Assistant will divide time between leading the children’s ministry team (75%) and providing administrative support to the lead pastor (25%). Leading the children’s ministry at Amity Christian Church involves recruiting, training, and regularly meeting with children’s ministry volunteers to develop, implement, and oversee children’s ministry programs such as Kids Church, Kid’s Sunday School Curriculum, Vacation Bible School, Special Children’s Programs, and Nursery Care, etc. The Children’s Director will maintain compliance with safe church policies and track student progress and involvement in children’s programs. Developing relationships with kids and families is a key component of a successful children’s ministry, and the Children’s Director will be encouraged to engage children and families in the church with this goal in view. The integration of parents into children’s ministry is essential, since the ministries of the church are designed to help and assist parents in their responsibility to train their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
