Health & Wholeness

Part of training for Christian service means offering ways for students to achieve spiritual, physical and emotional wholeness. Three key resources to wholeness at OCC are Health Services, the Life and Ministry Preparation Center, and our weekly mentoring groups.

Health Services

Health Services promotes and maintains optimal physical and emotional health and well-being of Ozark Christian College students. Located in the lower level of the Seth Wilson Library, Health Services provides first aid care as well as treatment for colds, flu, allergies and more. Students who need further treatment are referred to a local hospital or physician.

Health Services is staffed by Sara Wood, RN. Health Services can be contacted at 417.626.1213.

Health Services Hours

Monday-Friday: 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

Counseling

OCC also offers confidential pastoral counseling services to all current OCC students. If student counseling needs go beyond the scope of pastoral counseling, clinical counseling may be arranged with an area professional counselor. To make an appointment with a counselor, students should contact Andy Storms.

Life and Ministry Preparation Center

The Life and Ministry Preparation Center (LAMP) seeks to disciple and mentor students in one-on-one, small group and seminar contexts. Directors Randy and Julie Gariss work to equip students with greater personal wholeness and relational health for a lifetime of effective ministry. For more information, contact Randy or Julie Gariss.

Mentor Groups and Life Groups

Each week, OCC students come together for mentoring groups and life groups. Led by Youth Ministry Relations Director Kevin Greer, these small groups are facilitated by OCC staff, faculty, and upperclassmen. Weekly meetings offer students Christian accountability, community, friendship, and fun.
