Job Summary

The Creek is looking for ministry minded individuals who are looking to enhance their academic success with in-the-field experience and training through our LeadNow program. We provide ministry experience combined with mentoring to students who are looking to increase in their confidence in what God has called and equipped them to do. The staff at Indian Creek Christian Church is committed to providing you with fertile soil for personal growth and experience. You will be mentored in your specific area of ministry, challenged through spiritual formation, and guided in a wide range of focused aspects of church leadership and life. The Creek offers a stable, growing environment where education is honored and holistic transformation of individuals and communities is the goal. We desire to take what we have learned, both from our success and failure, and pour it into students who desire to spend their lives leading the Church toward fulfilling its purpose. An ideal intern candidate would have completed at least their junior year of undergraduate studies through graduates, however other scenarios will be considered. We offer internships in varying fields of ministry including: Children’s Ministry, Student Ministry, Worship and Creative Arts, Technical Arts, Adult Discipleship, Social Work, Missions, Special Needs and Communications. All internships are seven months in length starting in June and ending in December. You will receive weekly financial compensation, provided a host home, vacation time, and will share many meals with the church community. Any conference or ministry related expenses will be covered. What you will gain personally and professionally will be a reflection of your commitment and what you give during your internship. You will be expected to commit to a 32-hour work week (Monday - Thursday), some evenings, as well as attend and participate in all weekend services (Saturday evenings 4:00 and 5:30, Sunday Mornings 9:15 and 11:00, unless notified by your supervisor) The four weekdays will consist of: a half day dedicated to ministry and life skills training and spiritual formation sessions, three days within your specific area of ministry, and a half day to invest in coursework as well as involvement with a local ministry partner within Indianapolis. We want to equip you to not only work in the church, but be the church to our neighbors and city.
