Camp Christian, Inc. is a camp and retreat center operated by the independent Christian Churches and Churches of Christ (Restoration Movement) of western Pennsylvania. Since 1941, we have been known as ‘A Place Set Apart,’ offering excellent programs for campers of all ages. We are currently seeking a new team member to join our efforts in fulfilling our mission of exalting Christ through Christian camping. The ideal team member is a mature, servant-leader, living a life of submission to Jesus Christ, display humility and has a heart for Christian camping. They hold doctrinal beliefs consistent with Scripture, as understood by Restoration Movement churches. Additionally, potential team member must be a person of integrity, good reputation, self-motivated, organized, have a good driving record, able to obtain a PA driver’s license, have basic computer skills, lift 50 pounds and able to work in various conditions. Applicant must also be able to earn any certifications necessary to perform their duties. Candidates must affirm Camp Christian’s Statement of Faith and submit himself/herself to the camp’s Code of Conduct. Primary duties to include: Working in conjunction with the Camp Manager on establishing Mill Run Adventures, a combination of programs highlighting the region’s numerous outdoor activities, such as rafting and skiing. Oversee the outdoor education program. Develop and promote camp’s current programs. Host weekday rental groups. Lead group initiatives. Assist in all areas of camp operations. Giftedness in maintenance and construction is a plus. Final job description to include these duties, but will be constructed to the individual. This is a full-time, year round position. Extended summer hours are required; however, the retreat season does allow for a better balance of ministry and personal time. Camp leadership is mindful of the pressures of ministry and allows team members various opportunities to refresh their soul throughout the year.
