The First Christian Church of Buffalo, Missouri is currently seeking a Full-Time Minister. We are located in the heart of the Ozarks and a short drive from many area lakes, rivers, Bennett Spring State Park, and the city of Springfield, Missouri. The First Christian Church is a traditional, non affiliated church that is looking for an individual to provide biblically based worship experiences and to practice ministry within the church and community. Our current minister has recently resigned due to health reasons. First Christian Church Buffalo, MO Job Description and Goals - Full Time MinisterMaintain set office hoursTo provide worship experiences and the practice of ministry within the church and community.To experience anew and to practice the Good News of love, healing, and reconciliation within this caring community.To seek ways of motivating members to be active in all aspects of church life.Work closely with the worship committee to plan and lead services of worship.Celebrate weddings and funerals.Attend meetings of the board.Provide church membership instruction for prospective members.Work with the church secretary or office administrator in preparing bulletins, newsletters, and other correspondence.Provide pastoral counseling as needed.Be available as a resource person for church groups.Work with the board, cabinet, and committees to assist them in carrying out their assigned tasks, having the freedom of voice and counsel, but no vote.Actively participate in hospital, home-centered, and prospective member calling.Provide adult leadership for youth ministry.Maintain the Christian Education and Music Ministries of the church.Identify members who have become inactive over the last 2 years and seek to involve them again in the churchs life.Identify other members who need special attention.Weekly Bible Study for adults.Preach on Sunday.
