Church Pastor

We are a small older congregation (25-35 attendance) in Downs, Kansas (pop. 900) in North Central Kansas. We are looking for a pastor who loves Jesus and is willing to help our church reach out to share Jesus Christ with others in our community, encouraging them in a personal relationship with Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Someone who helps connect people with God through Scripture, and prayer; encouraging them to grow in Christs love; and find the gift God has placed in each one of us, using that gift to His glory. We hope to have a new pastor in place by March 2025. It is a full time job. This position includes a family-sized parsonage with utilities paid as part of the salary package. We are seeking a pastor who is committed to and responsible for spiritual leadership of our church family. A pastor who leads worship services and is willing to educate through Gods Holy Word; assists in establishing and communicating a Jesus Christ centered vision for the church. A pastor with a heart for people and evangelism, who will help increase our church size and reach out to the community with Gods love.Qualifications: -A born again believer with beliefs centered on Gods Holy Word. -Committed to the spiritual disciplines as outlined in 1 Peter 5:1-5 -Able to administer baptisms, the Lords Supper, marriages, funerals, baby dedications, etc. Duties: -Mentoring leadership within the church family -Representing our church in community outreach activities and charitable events -Assisting in organizing weekly services and delivering Bible based messages. -Able to communicate with members of the congregation and provide spiritual guidance, including pastoral care for nursing home residents. -Uses due diligence in communication to Church Board and congregation.
