Dr. Alvin Sanders speaking
Dr. Alvin Sanders is a well known preacher, educator and writer. He currently serves as a leader in the Evangelical Free Church of America which exists to glorify God by multiplying healthy churches among all people. He also serves as an adjunct professor at several seminaries. Dr. Sanders is also a consultant concerning strategic diversity planning for religious non-profits, churches and Christian universities. He enjoys training and speaking to church groups about having a broader community impact.
Dr. Sanders served three years as the Director of Ethnic Ministries at Cincinnati Christian University, seven years as the senior pastor of River of Life Church in downtown Cincinnati and five years as the Executive Director of the EFCA. His book Bridging the Diversity Gap, published in 2013 by Wesleyan Publishers, was written to encourage ministry leaders and pastors "to engage with an ethnically diverse church or organization and guide them toward becoming one in Christ."
Dr. Sanders' education includes a BS in Biblical Studies from Cincinnati Christian University, MA in Religion & Urban Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a PhD in Education Leadership from Miami University.

This special day is set aside each year to focus on the high calling of preaching God's word. Special guest speakers in recent years have included Dr. Haddon Robinson, Dave Stone, Dr. JK Jones and Robert Smith Jr.
