Reaching the world for Christ, One Leader At A Time

The One Leader At A Time campaign was officially launched to the more than 600 guests at the 2009 OCC Alumni Banquet on Wednesday, February 25. To view the campaign informational video, please click the play button.

Campaign Projects

PROJECT ONE
Scholarships for Students ― $2.7 million

Each year Ozark provides over $900,000 in student scholarships based both on merit and need. Out of 621 students last fall, over 500 received some form of scholarship help.
These monies come from our general fund, not from endowments or designated funds. “Scholarships” is simply a $900,000 line item in our annual budget.

The easiest way to balance the budget would be to slash the “scholarships” line item. But of course, these scholarships are essential in recruiting and retaining students, helping them graduate with lower debt as they head into ministry.

So we are asking our partners to help us underwrite that $900,000 “scholarship” line item in our budget for the next three years ― equaling $2.7 million ― as the college moves back into the black. These dollars will go directly to students preparing to enter the harvest field (Matthew 9:38).

PROJECT TWO
Campus Technology Upgrade ― $1.2 million

The second campaign project would allow us to update our hardware and purchase a campus management software system. This software would enable:

Students to enroll, pay bills, and manage class work all online ― which they are currently unable to do.
Employees to work more efficiently as they share data between departments, streamline data entry and management ― which they are currently unable to do.

An independent consultant evaluated our campus operations and made software recommendations. The cost for hardware and software, along with the first few years of operation, is $1.2 million.

If you believe that reaching the world for Christ, one leader at a time is a worthwhile goal ― and if you would like to invest some of your resources in helping make it happen ― please consider the following opportunities.

Reaching the world for Christ, One Leader At A Time

THREE-YEAR COMMITMENTS ― allow ONE LEADER partners to maximize their investment by taking up to three years to fulfill their commitment. Some investors will provide systematic giving over three years. Others may need to make their commitment and then use the three years to position their resources to fulfill their desires.
SPECIAL AND PLANNED GIFTS ― allow friends to participate with gifts of cash, real estate, tangible items with a ready market, stocks, bonds, mutual funds or other assets. These gifts can be extremely helpful toward reaching the campaign goal, but may require special planning.
GIFTS-IN-KIND ― allow friends to participate with specific gifts of items other than cash that would need to be purchased as part of the campaign. While ONE LEADER AT A TIME is primarily a campaign for cash and cash equivalents, there are some items associated with the technology upgrade that can be donated. Ozark staff can provide you with a specific list of gift-in-kind items.
NETWORKING ― friends willing to network Ozark staff to family, other friends, business associates, foundations and / or other potential financial partners will provide a valuable service toward the success of the campaign.
