Our children’s ministry, Summit Kids, seeks to partner with parents to lead their children to live out this mission in their homes. Each Sunday morning there are approximately 150 children that are a part of Summit Kids, from babies to 5th graders. The Children’s Minister has the primary responsibility of care, development and administration of Summit Kids. The goal is to create an environment where boys and girls are discipled each Sunday to live in the gospel and for the gospel to the glory of God.
Success in this position will be determined by:
-Recruiting and developing volunteer teams to teach and disciple children.
-Relational investment in the lives of Summit Kids’ deacons and teachers.
-Execution of a thriving gospel-centered Sunday morning program for kids.
-Being a team player with the Family Minister and Student Minister.
-Possessing a strong skill set that includes problem solving, communicating, and organizationing.
-A healthy vision and passion for how to disciple children so they mature in their Christian walk.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven history of success as a staff member or a volunteer in children’s ministry. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is desired.

Qualifications: 1. Personal Character: Should have a genuine love for Jesus. Must be committed to growing in the spiritual disciplines, able to teach and lead parents and kids, and practice leadership. 2. Doctrine: Must be in full agreement of the Summit statement of faith and have an ability to analyze curriculum to assure it is gospel-centric. 3. Education: Bachelor degree preferred. 4. Experience: Some experience working in ministry with early childhood or elementary aged children. Skills: 1. Recruiting: Ability to connect with people and involve them in becoming and remaining a part of the ministry to children. 2. Team Building: Establish healthy teams that carry out the ministry. 3. Communication: Effectively utilize electronic, phone, and face-to-face capabilities with all people involved. 4. Creativity: Ability to apply curriculum to Summit needs and setting. 5. Organization: Create systems and processes to maintain order and steward limited resources.
