The CPE supervisor has been a hospital chaplain for 25 years. He is a graduate of Johnson Bible College and Lincoln Christian Seminary. He has reserved one opening for a Christian Church minister of the Restoration Movement who wishes to become Board Certified Hospital Chaplain. Must have M.Div.or graduate theological degree. Ordination preferred but not required. Women are encouraged to apply. Applicant will receive 4 units of CPE in 12 months. Will provide pastoral care to hospital patients of all faith groups and participate in the Clinical Pastoral Education program with 5 other residents. Must be able to dialogue and work with chaplains of various faith groups. Must be willing to work and learn in a setting that has daily pain, crisis, trauma, and death. Chaplaincy is a mission field. Applicants who complete the application to the satisfaction of the CPE supervisor will be invited for a face to face interview. The program begins August 27, 2017 and runs for one calendar year. Stipend is $27,747.00 with clergy housing allowance and optional healthcare benefits. Regret that there are no relocation expenses.
