Job Summary

First Christian Church is looking for the right person to fulfill the part-time role of Children’s Minister/Director. Children’s ministry is one of the core ministries of our congregation, and we are known regionally as a congregation that serves young families well.  About a third of our congregation is made up of children through 5th grade.

FCC is a growing congregation, and is praying to find a candidate who has the right passion, creativity, passion, and chemistry to grow into full-time employment with us.

We currently have a children’s ministry that runs during each of our two Sunday morning gatherings. We are looking for the right person to connect with and grow the capacity of the volunteers in that ministry and bring our overall children’s ministry to the next level.

Wilmington is a bedroom community for Chicagoland workers, and lies in a larger region of approximately 25,000 people.  Our congregation is made up of people from all of these communities, and we have good connections with local governments, school bodies, and the business communities.

We are open to the idea of a college or seminary student, and are hopeful hat this position will grow to be full-time upon the completion of their degree program.
