 Internship Home

Welcome to the home page for the OCC Academic Mentored Internship Program. An internship is the vital experience in which students discover their calling and are better prepared for that ministry vocation.

We understand that true preparation for ministry cannot solely take place inside a classroom.  Young women and men need practical pastoral training and intentional mentoring to be more fully prepared for the demands of ministry life. This is why most students at OCC are required to complete an internship or directed field experience before graduating with a bachelor's degree.

The student area of the internship site has more information on how students may complete their internship requirement, assistance in finding an internship, and guidelines for how they may earn course credit for their experiences.

The mentor area of the internship site has more information on how a church or other organization may become an approved internship site, as well as instructions for how individual mentors may submit on-line evaluations for their interns.

If you have any questions regarding the internship program at Ozark Christian College, please direct them to Doug Welch, Director of Christian Service and Internships at welch.doug@occ.edu or 417.626.1234, ext. 2651.
