This is a Full-Time
position with First Church of Christ
FCC is seeking a full-time minister to focus on the advancement of God’s word, through preaching, teaching, and leading environments that reveal the truths of Scripture. The Minister, alongside the Elders, will also be responsible for the general "care/shepherding" of the congregation, as well as lead outreach and follow-up ministry efforts to help us accomplish our mission of "Bringing people into a relationship with Christ, Building them up in their faith, and Sending them out to make a difference in their world." The ideal candidate will have a heart for preaching and teaching God's word, communicating with high levels of effectiveness in print and verbal forms. Additionally, we desire a man whose heart is bent towards caring for the needs of the body, as well as seeking and reaching those not yet a part of the body of Christ.

FCC has its roots in the "Restoration Movement" and continues to associate with the churches that consist of the Christian Church/Churches of Christ. Our worship gatherings are modern in expression. Our facility expanded in 2003 to accommodate 400 in the worship center. Currently FCC has 1 Full-Time associate, and a volunteer "youth leader" leading ministry efforts for grades 12 and under. First Church of Christ is located in the rural southwest IA community of Atlantic, population around 7500. The community of Atlantic is considered to be "half-way" in-between Des Moines, IA, and Omaha, NE along I-80. Atlantic IA is the county seat of Cass County IA and is considered to be the Coca-Cola capitol of IA. Atlantic has a newer YMCA facility that is a very active part of our community.
