Youth & Children's Team Intern
This is a Full-Time
position with Tates Creek Christian Church
6-month internship (typically May-Nov)Job Requirements:
General Function: This position is formatted and planned as an investment in the Kingdom of God by providing learning and experience opportunities for those seeking to devote their vocational lives to the calling of the ministry. It is also created to provide support to the TCCC youth and children’s team in a variety of ways and to experience leadership in ministering to families and children. All ministers serve under the supervision of the Elders of Tates Creek Christian Church. The Intern will report directly to the Student Minister and the Elementary Minister. Profile of Character: Commitment to Christ, Theologically sound and biblically faithful, Excellent communication skills including all aspects of communication: Interpersonal, Presentation, Effective listening, Values a team concept of ministry, High moral and ethical character that is reflective in behavior and decision making. Goals of internship: Work together with the team in establishing creative elements for the vision in the youth and children’s ministries. Work together with the team in training and recruiting volunteers of all youth and children's areas including special needs ministry. Experience leading a wide variety of ministry opportunities specific to each ministry team from Sunday mornings, Worship, Sunday evenings, Camps, Community outreach, and cross-cultural service. The intern will be provided with housing and a monthly stipend.Application Requirements:
Qualifications: To succeed in this internship, it is expected that a high school diploma and two years of college coursework has been completed before initiation. Specifically that education / training would be in the area of Christian ministry and likely from a school recognized by the Tates Creek Christian Church Elders. Physical Requirements: This position requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pulling, and lifting up to 40 pounds. In an eight hour shift, this position may require sitting for four hours and standing or walking for four hours. Candidates should apply via email to Matt Lee via email by February 28, 2014.
