Biography of Ken Idleman
Ken Idleman is well known around Ozark as he served here 34 years - teacher (4 years); Executive Vice President (2 years), President (27 years), and Chancellor (1 year), 1973-2007. He is presently the senior minister of Crossroads Christian Church in Newburgh, Indiana, a congregation of over 3,000. Ken is in wide demand as a preacher/speaker for conferences and conventions.
He married Kaylene Conover in 1968 and they have three grown children, Karissa, Kyle and Kamille. Ken grew up in the St. Joseph, Illinois, area and graduated from Lincoln Christian College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969. He also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Lincoln Christian Seminary (1973) and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Milligan College, Milligan, Tennessee in 1996.
Ken served as president of the North American Christian Convention in 1992. Lincoln Christian College presented him its Restoration Award in Preaching and Christian Higher Education in 1982 and he was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award in 1992 from Lincoln Seminary.
