AA - Christian Ministry

The Associate of Arts in Christian Ministry degree is offered for students desiring to unite biblical studies with an aspect of teaching ministry. Those who take an associate degree will most likely do additional schooling elsewhere to prepare for their careers. The subjects taken form a foundation to Christian faith and an understanding of the Bible. Many of these graduates will serve in volunteer capacities in the local church.

Objectives:

1. Demonstrate a foundational knowledge of the Bible.

2. Articulate a Christian worldview.

3. Articulate a presentation of the gospel to lead someone to Christ.

Requirements:

26 hours in Biblical Studies
22 hours in General Studies
8 hours in Professional Studies
9 hours of Electives

General Requirements:
Students desiring to transfer one year of general education credits to a state college or university should take all the elective hours in general studies.
Students desiring certification to run a day care should take the following classes: Child Care Administration (3), Education Psychology (2), Early Childhood Curriculum (4), Strategies for Teaching (3) and Children's Literature (3).
Students desiring an emphasis in Intercultural Studies should take the following classes: Anthropology or World Religions (3), Preparation for Cross-Cultural Ministry (2), Principles of Mission Life (2), Missions Ministry in the Church (2), Missions in the Restoration Movement (2) and Elective (1).
