Worship/Student Minister

This is a Full-Time position with First Christian Church in Rapid City , South Dakota.

Job Requirements:
 Develop a holistic growth approach strategy in the areas of Worship and Student Ministry as they pertain to Sunday Worship Services and Midweek programming. Develop a structured strategy to enhance, educate and inspire families to higher levels of worship. Develop a tangible strategy to educate and encourage students to develop their faith. Create an inter-generational church strategy to foster deep relationships between church members. Collaborate with worship ministry volunteers to develop and meet needs of the worship ministry area. Train and develop volunteers in the worship ministry area. Collaborate with student ministry volunteers to develop and meet needs of the worship ministry area. Train and develop volunteers in the student ministry area. Train and develop ministry staff in the student ministry area. Develop and create ministry programs that meet the specific need of students and families. Collaborate with church staff to maintain the strategic plan and initiatives of FCC-Rapid City. Create a strategic plan outlining initiatives relating to Worship/Student Ministry. Develop and maintain relevant meeting and worship spaces and materials. Maintain accurate administrative records (budget, medical release forms, parent permission slips, volunteer background checks, CCLI and CVLI reports, elder reports, staff meeting reports, congregational meeting reports). Maintain holistic personal growth (spiritual, personal relationships, physical health, intelligence, and emotional).

Application Requirements:
 We prefer an individual with proven ministry experience. Must possess a college degree from one of the independent Christian Church supported Bible Colleges (advanced degree is a plus but not required). Candidate must have a passion for developing youth and families into people who worship God and receive salvation in Jesus Christ alone. Candidate must be able to work with parents to develop true discipleship avenues and strategies for their youth and must be Biblically sound in the faith and the Word of God. Qualified candidates will be adept at including current ministry volunteers and recruiting others who are gifted and willing to serve. Candidate must be a lifetime learner of God's Word and people in general. Candidate must be a team player, innovative, creative, and able to connect with youth and parents. Musical abilities are required. Must be able to play an instrument and have knowledge and experience in leading worship and coordinating and leading worship teams. Candidate must have knowledge and experience in using computer and video technology in worship. The candidate must have the ability to preach and will have opportunities to deliver sermons to youth and adults. A complete job description is available upon request.
