We are looking for a highly motivated individual who want to be a part of a fantastic team in a fast paced demanding environment. You will need to be able wear different hats and function in multiple roles.
The candidate we are looking for must be able to connect with non-believers and have a good rapport with the un-churched. We are looking for friendly individuals who feel they have a calling to work in new church works. Our goal is to provide hands on training for you as you seek to determine if church planting is where God wants you to serve in ministry.
Because Epic Church is a new church work the candidate will be expected to raise his or her own funding as a missionary would or to obtain employment within the community on a part-time basis and work for Epic during the rest of the time.
Epic Church would provide a place to stay and food for the candidate.

Description: Summer Children's Ministry Intern, to work with approximately 80 children (babies- 5th grade), male or female, with a passion/calling for children's ministry, Christ, and kids. The candiddate should be a Christian College student with at least 2 years completed in his/her undergraduate education. Heal the World (HtW) is offering yearlong English Teaching positions in Burkina Faso (West Africa). HtW is working towards establishing the second university in Burkina Faso. Because the country is French-speaking, the model necessitates that the students speak English, thus Heal the World is opening an English Language Institute in July of 2009. Applicants should have TESOL, TEOFL, or ESL training and/or work experience.
Details are as follows:
o The position is a year commitment from start-to-finish of English Teaching in Burkina Faso.
o The position is unpaid, and each participant is required to raise support of around $3,500 for living expenses, food, local transportation, etc.
o Heal the World will provide the round-trip airline ticket to and from Burkina Faso as well as a small living stipend.
o The English Language Institute is geared towards students aged around 14-15 years old.
o Burkina Faso is a French-speaking country.
o TESOL certification is required. If a participant does not have it, an on-line course may be taken prior to departure.
o A team of teachers will be hired to teach at the English Language Institute.
Qualifications:
o Must be at least 18 years of age, completed high school degree. Preferably a college student or graduate looking for valued experience in the Non-profit world.
o Applicants should have TESL, TEOFL, or ESL training and/or work experience.
o Strong belief in the mission and core values of Heal the World, Inc.
o Flexible and adaptable personality in order to successfully take immersing into a different and foreign culture.
o Committed team player.
o Self-starter with strong initiative.
o High level of personal integrity.
Travel Requirements:
o Travel to Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso for a period of 12 months is required.
