MN 256D - Youth Ministry Dynamics

The same basic content as MN 254 Foundations for Youth Ministry, but available as an online course. Students will receive instruction in creating an effective youth ministry in the local church. The course covers a history of youth ministry, development of a personal philosophy of youth ministry, models of youth ministry, characteristics and needs of today’s youth, effective teaching methods, the personal life of the youth minister, planning events and retreats, inter-staff relationships, recruiting and training of volunteers, student evangelism, and deepening students through discipleship and mentoring. Students learn through a combination of lecture, guest teachers, discussion, team work and practical projects.
