The Payment Policy for students attending only classes that do not meet weekly (e.g. internships, distant learning, seminars, etc.) is listed at the bottom of this page. 

Payment Policy For All Other Students

Financial information will be released only to the student unless proper written authorization is provided by the student as required by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

  • Tuition and fees are due and payable at the time of enrollment.If you cannot pay the total due in full at the time of enrollment, payments must be received as outlined below unless an alternative payment plan has been approved by the Business Office. Outstanding balances (even if following guidelines) will incur a one percent (1%) per month administrative service fee on the 20th of each month that the account is unpaid.

  • At the end of 5 weeks of classes (Friday, February 14, 2014), your Student Account balance must be below $1,500.00.If not, and an approved payment plan is not being followed, you will be required to come from class to make an adequate payment plan. If no plan is established by this date, you may not be allowed to return to class or you may be asked to withdraw.

  • At the end of 10 weeks of classes (Friday, March 28, 2014), your Student Account balance must be below $750.00.Students with a balance more than $750.00 (except those who are following an approved payment plan) will not be allowed to continue in class until an approved plan is in place. If you are not allowed to attend classes because of your financial situation, you will be considered absent. Students who are over absent in all classes may be asked to withdraw from college or asked to leave if the last day for withdrawal has passed.

  • All Student Account balances, including those with a payment plan, must be below $750.00 by 12:00 noon on Friday, May 2, 2014, in order to take final exams. 

  • Balances from prior semesters (student, bookstore and phone accounts and repayments to make OCC student assistance loans current) must be paid in full before you can enroll in a subsequent semester. Balances must be paid in full by Friday, May 23, 2014, in order to attend summer school and no later than 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 in order to enroll on enrollment day in the Fall 2014 semester.(No payments for prior semesters will be accepted on enrollment day.) Students not allowed to enroll on enrollment day will be required to enroll late and will be assessed a $60.00 late enrollment fee.

ATTENTION STUDENTS 

We want you to be fully informed regarding enrollment requirements so you may prepare in a responsible way and your education will not be hindered. Please give careful attention to these matters so you can avoid any unnecessary inconvenience.

Students completing enrollment after January 13, 2014

  1. You have until 3:30 p.m. on January 20, 2014 to complete enrollment.
  2. You may be housed as a guest in a residence hall, as space permits, for one week. The rate is $10.00 per night if enrollment is not completed.
  3. You may eat in the Dining Hall on a cash basis. There will be no refund on the meal charges if subsequently enrolled.
  4. You may not be counted present in class until enrollment is completed.
  5. You will be charged a late enrollment fee of $60.00.

These conditions apply for students who are not allowed to complete enrollment for any reason, including an incomplete admission file and inadequate financial arrangements.

Tuition and fees are due and payable at the time of enrollment.
Students who are not enrolled in classes that meet weekly must pay at the time of enrollment. Payment may take the form of completed federal financial aid*, OCC aid, church assistance and student payment. Any expected aid that is not received by OCC at the time of enrollment must be verified and communicated to the Business Office prior to enrollment.

*If federal aid is anticipated, paperwork must be completed timely enough for results to be verified by the financial aid office at the time of enrollment.
