Financial Responsibility for Enrolled Students

The college years are a time to develop intellectually, socially and spiritually, but it is also a time to develop financial skills that will serve a student for a lifetime. This page is created to provide Ozark students with financial information that will empower them to make sound financial decisions and improve their present and long-term financial well-being.

Our desire is to:

  • Increase student awareness of and responsibility for financial obligations.
  • State clear financial expectations for students (and parents).
  • Encourage early completion of financial aid applications and paperwork.
  • Provide reasonable and timely requirements for students to pay bills; thus, increasing the student’s ability to enroll in following semesters.
  • Preserve student’s ability to receive aid.

Financial Obligation

By registering and attending Ozark Christian College a student creates a financial obligation, a financial responsibility that comes with attending any college. Financial obligations necessitate a plan for fulfilling college payment through the wise handling of money—earning it, spending it and saving it. Upon a student’s registration and the completion of their financial aid file, preliminary charges and preliminary aid can be accessed on the student portal.

Students have two payment options:

OPTION 1: Payment in full of tuition, fees, room and meals charges (less preliminary aid) by August 11, 2015 (FALL) and January 12, 2016 (SPRING).

OPTION 2: Payment Plan: The payment plan is a helpful alternative to payment in full for educational costs. Each payment amount is one quarter of the total charges (less preliminary aid).

To have the most accurate “preliminary aid” available to you, the following must be done:

  1. Complete your FAFSA (www.fafsa.ed.gov) as early as possible so that Financial Aid can let you know if additional information is needed.

NOTE: Contact Financial Aid if you will not be applying for Federal Aid (Pell or Loans). "Preliminary Aid" will not be listed until your financial aid file is complete.

  2. Notify Financial Aid of any church or other outside scholarship you anticipate receiving. You will need to provide a letter from the church or other organization that lists the amount of scholarship and the anticipated dates the payment will be made for it to be listed as "Preliminary Aid."

Payment Due Dates:

Payments are due according to the schedule below:

Payment 2: The student is administratively withdrawn from classes and required to vacate the residence hall.

Payment 3: The student may not register for the next semester until the student account is paid in full. If payment three is late and registration is still open, the student may possibly have the option to register. Please contact the Business Office for more information. A late registration fee of $120 may apply.

Payment 4: The student may not complete registration for the next semester. A late registration fee of $120 may apply.
