Thank you for your inquiry about attending OZARK CHRISTIAN COLLEGE. The purpose of OCC is to train men and women for vocational or volunteer Christian service. OCC seeks to glorify God by seeking to save the lost and strengthen Christians worldwide. It is also part of our goal that each student acquire these characteristics:

  • A knowledge of sound doctrine taught from the Word of God;
  • An acquaintance with historical evidences and an understanding of the basis of faith in Christ and in the Bible;
  • An approach to Bible study that seeks to understand the author's intended meaning;
  • An intellectual development that will enable the students to be good learners, clear thinkers and competent judges of what is right for a whole lifetime of applying the Word of God to the accomplishment of God's will;
  • Skills for effective written and oral communication;
  • A personal growth in Christian character and fellowship with Christ;
  • A variety of skills for leading others to Christ, building believers to maturity in Christ, and equipping them to be fruitful in the service of Christ.

Six Bachelors degrees, four associates degrees, eight two-year certificates and two one-year certificates provide many possibilities from which students may choose. Within these programs, a number of majors as well as minor emphases may be incorporated.

To help you in making your decision to attend OCC, you need to know the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) demands the following requirements for acceptance of international (non-immigrant) students on F-1 Visa status:

  1. Applicants must provide, in writing, official evidence (sponsorship letter(s) and sponsor's bank statements) of complete financial support for your annual educational costs at OCC as shown on the Cost of Education Sheet.
  2. Applicants must submit a deposit of $1,500.00 U.S. to OCC at least 30 days before the day of enrollment each semester. They cannot enroll, attend classes, or live in our residence halls until this deposit is received.
  3. If the English language is not the official language of the applicant's country of origin, they will need to take and pass the Test Of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 550 on the "written exam," or 213 on the "computer based exam." Please have the score sent to OCC. Our TOEFL registration number is 6542.
  4. Applicants must maintain a full course of studies each semester, make passing grades, and finish studies in the time so determined by the college.
  5. Applicants must understand that they are not permitted to obtain off-campus employment in the U.S. during the first academic year (9 months). The college may not endorse attempts by applicants to do so except in extreme cases of unforeseen circumstances arising subsequent to entry.
  6. Applicants need to know that the USCIS does permit them to be employed in available jobs on the college campus upon enrollment as full-time students; however, the college does not guarantee that jobs will be available.

If you desire to attend OZARK CHRISTIAN COLLEGE, you will need to complete the "Foreign Student Certification of Finances" form and mail it to us. If it shows that you are able to provide the required funds for your education, we will immediately mail application material to you. As soon as you return all the necessary documents and you are accepted for enrollment, we will immediately send to you the completed I-20 form and your letter of acceptance so that you can apply to the American Consulate or Embassy for your F-1 student visa.

Your interest in furthering your education at OCC is certainly appreciated. We look forward to receiving you as a student in the near future.
